Ashley Guchhait is a game designer, writer, artist, musician, and co-founder of Boba Studios, a women-owned, indie video game studio in Baltimore, MD. She works as Boba Studio’s CEO and Game Designer, Writer, and Programmer. Her studio's debut game, Squirrely Roo Rabbit, is a 2.5D, puzzle-platformer game based on color theory featuring a visual style reminiscent of watercolor pop-up storybooks with a demo available on their website.In addition to Boba Studios, Ashley is the co-chair of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the International Game Developers Association. Ashley specializes in digital games but has experience in tabletop and hybrid games, as well. She has worked with other game developers as a design consultant and offers private tutoring in game design to aspiring developers.Outside of games, she is also a Writing Tutor at MICA, specializing in creative writing, writing for visual media, and professional package writing. She also freelances in graphic and web design.Aside from the arts, Ashley is passionate about animals, event planning, and getting to know others. At home, she has two Cavachon pups: Rufus and Toby, and dreams of adopting another dwarf rabbit, like her childhood bunnies: Snowflake and Sakura. Despite her shyness, Ashley thinks her favorite pastime might be getting to know others and believes this desire drives her storytelling.Passionate about learning, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Interactive Arts (Game Arts concentration) and a B.F.A. in Humanistic Studies from Maryland Institute College of Art.
