Additionally, I have reported on regional and programmatic developments in conflict-ridden areas across Central Africa, utilizing my expertise in photography and videography to share impactful stories. Through my mentorship and training, I have helped develop the skills of a creative team in Uganda, including shooting, editing, and storytelling principles, resulting in successful film productions in various locations. As a highly experienced video editor with over 10,000 hours of experience, I have engaged in action-oriented and campaign-driven filmmaking that has had a meaningful impact. Through my work with Invisible Children, I helped increase funding and expand development work in Central Africa, while also contributing to the passing of crucial legislation and opportunities to meet with senior executives and even President Obama. I am proficient in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, allowing me to effectively manage multiple video projects simultaneously. I have also developed original video concepts and pitches for documentary films and social awareness campaigns, resulting in millions of online views and impressions. In fact, I played a key role in creating the fastest-growing viral video in history, which raised over $30 million for projects in Central Africa. In addition to my video editing skills, I also spearheaded the implementation of a new digital asset management system for over 120 terabytes of footage. I have also provided support in onboarding, mentoring, training, and managing new video and editing staff, including developing a new employee instruction manual for new hires.
