I am the Advocacy Outreach Coordinator/ Copywriter for the Luminations Initiative at D2 Creative, a division of Appliedinfo Partners, Inc.Daily, I work with a cross-disciplinary team of art directors, writers, producers, developers, and project managers/operations to create animated patient education videos (“Luminations”) and other communications solutions that satisfy client business needs and objectives. I am responsible for client outreach to patient advocacy groups, clinical research organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and other clients. I attend select health conferences, and work closely with patient advocate reviewers for content quality assurance. I am also responsible for social media management, prepping scripts for voiceover sessions, pulling storyboards from pencil tests/animations for script submissions, and doing quality assurance on videos to ensure requested changes have been made.

I have found my stride in a managerial style that utilizes direct, open communication. Each night of service, I meet with every staff member and discuss the necessary strategies for that night’s specific challenges.I also meet regularly with tech representatives from 7shits, our scheduling app, OpenTable, our reservation system app, and Toast, our Point of Sale system, in order to optimize each software to our needs & usage. I program our POS system to reflect each night’s menu, and to route orders from the servers’ computers to the correct kitchen stations. I teach staff how to utilize our Toast System POS, as well as our OpenTable reservation system, which I program to schedule the maximum serviceable amount of guests based on data such as average lengths of stay and outdoor availability. ThinkReservations is the hotel reservation system that I use to manage customer folios for five different bed-and-breakfast rooms. Customers communicate with me via email, where I am always happy to go above and beyond in answering any questions about our Inn or the city of Beach Haven.A large part of my job is generating and analyzing sales & labor reports to make decisions about our operations, from menu pricing to employee schedules. I create schedules for 30 days in advance, and I manage employee direct deposit and tax forms. I calculate employee tip-outs for each pay period using Excel in order to generate their paychecks in ADP. Each day, I interact with a network of technicians and suppliers to ensure that The Gables is fully stocked with restaurant and hotel supplies, and that all of our equipment is properly maintained. I place several weekly orders and track invoices for our financial records.The greatest part of my job is creating memories for guests that will last a lifetime. I have been the venue liaison for several weddings, and I have helped coordinate many proposals, anniversary dinners, and birthdays. I take pride in correcting any negative guest interaction.

As a 4 year member of the Vanderbilt Cheer Team, I have experience working with a team towards skills and goals, even amidst outside academic stressors. I have committed up to 16 hours a week over the past 4 years to practice, volunteer, and serve as an ambassador of the university. I solved problems within the team culture: when several first-year members quit the team due to academic stress, I created and assigned Spirit Squad members to major-specific group chats, where members could ask questions and share advice, insight, and resources. Once this intervention was implemented, the number of members to quit the team in the middle of the year went down to zero. I also volunteered at several events for children in the Nashville community. I led cheer practices at STEM Prep Academy, where I taught cheers, stunting skills, and dance routines to a large group of girls grades 3-6. Many of these students were English Second Language students, but I was able to make each lesson accessible and enjoyable to all students. I also volunteered at Girl Scout badge earning activities for young girls in Nashville, and I participated in the Game Day Experience events we run as a team.
