Working in a telephone based environment. Dealing with innocent victims of violent crime in a Customer service role. Assisting applicant with their claims, advising them of our process and answering any queries they may have. Assisting people to put claims in. Making decisions at basic eligibility stage. Dealing with claims in a confidential manner. Being empathetic and understanding the needs of our clients.

I was the figure head of the Students Association of New College Lanarkshire, working across multi campuses. I lead various campaigns and research projects including; mental health, employment, student finances and budgets, equality and well-being, access, retention and all fund raising on behalf of the students association. I would regularly attend meetings and deliver presentations to a wide ranging audience including students, senior staff and government ministers. I have supported and provided pastoral care for students attending the college as well as arranging other welfare support mechanisms such as food-banks, clothing provision and discretionary funding applications.I was responsible for dealing with press enquiries and digital media releases on behalf of the students Association across several campuses, dealing with Marketing and publicity bodies also.

My duties were to support the Student president and represent the students association in all aspects of our mission statement and commitments. Collating data from campaigns and research projects as well as college feedback mechanisms.

Being the welcoming face and focal point for all customers and visitors to our theatre. Dealing with all customers enquiries efficiently and in a friendly manner. Working at the ticket office to support sales and concessions. Selling merchandise and other sundries such as food, confectionery and alcohol within the designated bar area. Cash handling and card point sales. Working under pressure during busy periods and within a dynamic environment I was able to carry out my duties and responsibilities while also being fortunate enough to cover the managerial role when required which I believe was a pinnacle point in my early professional development.
