I chose a shrinking industry which certainly kept me on my toes, but we managed to grow, sell, franchise and then sell again. This role allowed a marketing advisory role, handling nationwide accounts as well as owner/operators. The best training ground in business I could have asked for.I was then requested to build a franchise model for the company to assist IKEA's Netherland kitchen department. They had no trouble selling kitchens, but finding qualified installers was the challenge. This exposed me to operating intimately with one of the largest retailers globally and working in the European market. I led sales teams in the UK, operations and sales in the Netherlands and worked with IKEA store owners on improving their revenues. My brilliant team signed 46 franchisees within just nine months.In summary, my career experience includes global, cross-industry leadership in both corporate and SME environments.
