I own Huffman Information Technology Services. This company provides technology support at all levels. We create networks. From the cabling and infrastructure design to running cables and deploying wireless access points, network switches, firewalls, etc. We also install video doorbells, home theater systems, TV wall mounting, access control systems and cameras, smart thermostats, PC/ Mac / Server setups and troubleshooting.

I am plotting my future with various endeavors in different industries.I am building my real estate portfolio. I do flips and rental properties. I focus on distressed properties that can be rehabbed to force value. I may opt to sell for a profit or keep as a rental unit. I do much of the work myself with the exception of HVAC and major plumbing.

Research and obtain properties that can be improved and sold profitably or kept for rental units with a positive cash flow.

I answered customers' calls and emails to assist in troubleshooting their hardware / software issues with robotic tape backup equipment manufactured by Qualstar. Once hardware had been determined to be defective, I would issue a Return Materials Authorization and create documentation for followup and shipping of the item. If a machine was out of warranty or presented a sales opportunity, I would provide the customer with a quote for labor and / or hardware and would close the sale, following up as necessary. I would also test and configure items for shipping to ensure proper firmware levels and device reliability. If a customer needed a machine to be fixed, upgraded, installed or diagnosed by a Qualstar employee, I would arrange travel to a customer's data center to perform these services. The customer base ranged from small print shops, hospitals, TV stations, large public corporations and highly secure government military and research organizations. Other duties, in office, were to do new product testing, building, troubleshooting, burn-in, bug fixes, and training of production employees on new items that engineering implemented in hardware / software design.

My primary responsibility was to sell wireless phones, plans, data features and accessories. In order to do so I would explain wireless plans, services and handset operation to new and existing customers. If there were no customers that needed sales assistance, I would troubleshoot technical problems with customers’ handsets and services. I would alsoresearch, modify and explain customers’ accounts and bills to fix billing issues, discover sales opportunities, give customers better value and also for retention of services. If no customers were in the store, I would cold call customers to offer a current promotion or would take online sales and time management classes provided by the company.

Observe all ongoing operations - CPU, memory, hard disk and network usage; interpret system event logs; ensure that services are running on web / SQL servers and analyze performances to identify possible problems and initiate corrective action. Install peripheral devices, personal computers, software, drivers, security patches, etc. Monitor SQL jobs to ensure their completion and validate that database integrity is maintained. Troubleshoot customers’ ability to use online parts locator / ordering system due to software, hardware, and IP connectivity issues via phone and e-mail. Conduct training on new department software and train customers in OEConnection products.

Manage 6 employees in daily interaction with customers. Help customers in their buying decisions and create sales opportunities with suggestive selling techniques. Ensure that electronic displays were cabled, installed safely and functional. Coordinate and lead store meetings and train employeesFull store merchandising of displays and control of inventory levels and audits. Increase store sales and profitability. Maintain in store computer software, hardware and networking.
