I am a strategic communications executive with experience across leading global brands navigating significant industry and organizational change. My work in news, sports and entertainment, with companies including The Wall Street Journal, News Corp and ESPN, comprises deep experience in corporate communications, change management, crisis management and employee communications. In April 2023, I joined my former employer, Dow Jones, as a communications advisor, brought on to lead crisis and strategic communications for the efforts supporting Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, wrongfully detained by Russia on March 29, 2023. I drove a successful 16-month crisis, public diplomacy and awareness campaign pressing for Evan’s release, defending and telling the story of a reporter with whom we had no contact in a high-stakes geopolitical situation. Evan was released on August 1, 2024.My corporate experience is influenced by ever-evolving dynamics both externally and internally. In addition to working for global companies with thousands of employees, I’ve worked for those with fewer than 100. I’ve managed a global team and also operated as a team of one. My success is buoyed by a belief that building relationships across the business is critical in any environment. Following 20 years living and working in New York City, I now call Richmond, Virginia, home. A native of Georgia, I’m a graduate of The University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and was honored with the Henry W. Grady Mid-Career Alumni Award in 2018.
