Managed the design and implementation of First Nation traditional values research for use in land use decision-making under the Far North Act. Work included: survey design, survey coordination and relationship building, carrying out one-on-one interviews, community consultation, and managing digital data and project timelines. Designed and continuously improved curriculum that introduces GIS and ArcGIS software to First Nation community members. Prepared for and carried out over ten courses with number of students per course ranging from 2 to 22. Carried out baseline research for the City of Thunder Bay’s Mining Readiness Strategy including the development of a list of stakeholders, a stakeholder survey, and the assembly and analysis of census data.Wrote responses to RFPs, proposals for planning and GIS data collection, and various grant applications.
