I have spent this past year as a Family Nurse Practitioner working with the excellent Exer Urgent Care -treating patients of all ages for a wide variety of urgent care concerns both acute and chronic in nature. In my eight - plus year career as a nurse I worked at the bedside in Stepdown and Telemetry units in primarily magnet level hospitals. These fast paced, high intensity environments and the excellent nurses I was so lucky to work with have made me a well-rounded and highly skilled professional. I have transitioned into the advanced practice nursing role working in urgent care environments and taken all of this breadth of knowledge and experience with me; becoming a skilled and confident primary care practitioner. My goal is to work within facility that enables me to practice primary care medicine while still getting to employ a bit of my acute care skillset, as well as promoting more of a focus on functional medicine.
