Free Verse teaches literature and creative writing in juvenile halls across Montana. It was founded in 2014 and currently has teachers in four halls. It is sponsored by the Missoula Writing Collaborative and partners with The Beat Within.

Taught “First Year Writing,” a course designed to orient students to the college through the First Year Experience, as well as provide a foundation in the skills of academic writing.

o Wrote copy for web, newsletters, and marketing materialso Managed client’s web and social media presence

o Taught “Introduction to the Creative Writing Workshop,” a course that introduced students to craft techniques in fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction o Taught “College Writing 101,” an introductory course covering the basic skills of college writing, including writing as problem solving, organization and logical thinking, style, and sentence fluency

o Executed tasks associated with the general operations of an arts-based nonprofit organization o Managed development efforts including the annual appeal and membership drive, grants, and sponsorshipso Organized events including an annual fundraiser, a family concert series, and a festival showcasing student work in art, music, and writing o Coordinated the Writing in the Schools Program which employed six writers in 13 classrooms across three elementary schoolso Wrote newsletters, blog posts, press releases and developed content for the website and social media accounts

-Solicited, scheduled, and formated blog posts from Stonecoast MFA faculty members for the Stonecoast Faculty Blog.-Promoted faculty blog posts on Stonecoast's various social media accounts.

o Provided instruction in reading, composition and grammatical skills necessary to complete the ACT or SAT. Students improved by an average of four composite points in the verbal and/or reading sections o Created curriculum to supplement vocabulary and composition exercises and homework

- Provided administrative support for both the Compliance Officer and the Director of Business Risk and Legal Services- Acted as the System Administrator for three online databases: a contract management database, a Medicare audit database, and a community benefit tracking database- Uploaded, categorized, and archived hospital contracts in the electronic database and filed all hospital contracts in the hard copy files- Acted as lead support person for coordinating documentation between multiple departments in responding to Medicare Recovery Audit requests - Maintained the Compliance Work Plan in tracking compliance initiatives and designed and implemented a Work Plan to improve the contract management process
