Acting as a liaison between the Design Department, Creative Arts Student Association, and the Design Students Association. Attends weekly CASA and DSA meetings, and represents the DSA at monthly design faculty meetings.

Communicated with fellow First Years to ensure their needs are being met by the DSA, and to help assist with their transition to university. Effectively gathered shared feedback from classmates regarding DSA events and operations. Spearheaded first-year events with and assisted with promoting events and making announcements on behalf of the DSA.

Responsible for supporting recruitment and outreach initiatives pertaining to the School of the Arts, Media, Performance and Design at York; including design department tours and assisting with in-person recruitment events. Supports prospective students during the York University AMPD application process and admission experience, through answering emails, phone calls, and in person inquiries.

Assisted in the enrolment of incoming first years, while acting as an ambassador and role model by helping students navigate York University’s processes and procedures. Provided peer support by sharing information and promoting programs and services that assist in the development and attainment of student goals.

Attends weekly meetings to represent the views of the Design Students Association to CASA, and keeps students in the York Design program informed of upcoming CASA events.

Worked to create gelato and ice cream products in a manufacturing facility, both independently and with other team members. Diligently completed sanitization procedures to ensure product meets quality standards, and worked efficiently to meet production deadlines.

Provided exceptional customer service in a busy environment while delegating tasks, assisted with training of new employees, created break schedules, and answered customer and employee questions. Worked both on site and in the community, setting up the gelato cart at various events across the Kingston Area.
