Community Initiatives Executive Director
CurrentTo stay relevant, religious institutions need to change their programming and culture. CPC leadership personally recruited me to make this change because of my event planning background, interfaith knowledge, and community-building skills.Tasked with creating something out of nothing, I design and produce free, non-religious, intergenerational community events to meet the needs of Marin County. We are quickly seeing success: monthly events average 200+ people, venue rentals increased 3x, community partners increased 4x. These events and programs flourish because of my dedication to organization, database development, marketing, volunteer management, recruiting community partners (businesses, organizations, individuals), grant writing (government, non-profit, foundation), and listening to new ideas.Notable Highlights Include:• Produced and Co-Directed the City of San Rafaels first-ever Juneteenth Festival featuring vendors, food trucks, live music for 300+ attendees• Decrease food insecurity by using the campus' under-utilized kitchen to produce fresh food with Montessori de Terra Linda. Oversee data, people, partners, grants, construction, structure, rewards, information systems, efficiency, production, and longitudinal research. Applying for multi-year commitments of outside funding.• Spearheaded the rental contract overhaul and restructured the venue rental process and database
