This position performs full implementation of supervisory work while overseeing day to day operations of the Motor Vehicle Inspection (MVI) Program and Traffic Records Staff, which includes 14 MVI Investigators stationed throughout West Virginia. This position also receives, prepares, and distributes correspondence for approximately 1,600 Motor Vehicle Inspection Stations located throughout West Virginia, dealing with station questions for inspection and public questions on inspection of motor vehicles, motorcycles or trailers. This position also handles all personnel matters involving Traffic Records staff, including but not limited to approving/denying leave, dealing with grievance issues, and other employee activity as they arise. This position is also responsible for purchasing for all of Traffic Records, which includes CDDP Program, MVI Program, Tobacco Compliance Program, Photography Lab, and Body Shop.

Responsible for typing, filing, and updating correspondence received regarding aspects of the Tobacco Compliance Program. Responsible for researching existing establishments within the State of West Virginia for FDA purposes. Develops and maintains confidential materials to update databases. Telephone communications with retailer establishments and the public. Developing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Distribution of paperwork to Region Inspectors. Other duties which cannot be disclosed due to confidentiality.

As an Office Assistant II, I am responsible for answering incoming and managing outgoing calls while recording accurate messages. I open and properly distribute incoming mail. I also input data into computer programs and scan them into the appropriate filing system. While working at the front window, I greet numerous visitors, including current and retired West Virginia State Police troopers. This job also allows me to handle various accounting transactions, including: cash, credit cards, checks, and money orders. Along with accounting transactions, I also receive and process traffic accident record requests and return them to the customers in a timely manner. And lastly, I adhere to all facility, company, and legal guidelines, making sure to practice vigilant discretion.

As a secretary, I was responsible for invoicing, collecting monies due, and settles accounts each day. I posted receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts and researched and resolved accounts payable discrepancies. I managed a wide variety of customer service and administrative tasks to resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently. Ensuring that customer service was superior was my number one priority. I addressed customer concerns while demonstrating empathy, and resolved problems on the spot, sometimes with the help of my superiors. As a dispatcher, I was responsible for managing over-the-road drivers. I secured loads for those drivers to pick up and deliver to vendors in a safe and timely manner. I monitored driver logs for errors and/or violations, driver's working hours, and equipment functionality. Lastly, I coordinated and managed the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective to the company.
