Ashley Prince brings a valuable level of experience to every project in which she is involved. Her passion is for religious architecture, but she also greatly enjoys community-based, educational, and FF&E projects. Ms. Prince is highly proficiency with BIM programs and rendering techniques. To this point, she was the primary facilitator in Beard + Riser Architect's smooth, early 2014, transition from a primarily AutoCAD workplace to a primarily Revit workplace. Ms. Prince has a strong background in architectural design, theory, and history, particularly in regards to sacred architecture. Her graduate work primarily focused on these three facets of architecture through her thesis work, opportunities as a teaching assistant, and elective coursework. Ms. Prince attended both Mississippi State University and The Catholic University of America. While at CUA, Ms. Prince had the pleasure of working on the design-build project, Memorial to the Ancestors, for which she and the rest of the team, under the leadership of Travis Price, FAIA, were awarded an AIA Award. Ms. Prince finished her Master’s thesis in 2013, To Know Our Dead: An Architectural Proposal for a New Socialization of Death, Burial, and Mourning for the Modern American Catholic Church, for which she received a commendation from the Dean of the School of Architecture.
