Develop curriculum and instructional activities to meet developmental goals and state-mandated standards. Prepare lesson materials, assess student performance, manage 30+ students at a time, provide timely and meaningful feedback to students and community stakeholders. Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide regular progress reports. Use student progress and accomplishments to adjust curriculum and teaching strategies. Set Student Learning Objective goals in order to monitor and adjust instruction for students in an area of growth. Report progress and findings to administration upon completion. Create and keep records on attendance, accommodations for students under Section 504 and in our Special Education program. Attend regular workshops, trainings to further advance professional development. Manage student behavior, resolve conflict in accordance with district and state guidelines. Provide a safe, thriving, respectful environment in the classroom and throughout the campus.Keep up-to-date, become a subject matter expert on current technology and programs with the potential to be used in the classroom. Use technology to support and differentiate instruction. Maintain accurate, organized records. Participate in extracurricular activities such as campus committees focused on improvement of the campus. Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for community stakeholders as requested, provide prompt and professional return phone calls and emails. Obtain and maintain Texas Educator Licensing. Prepare students for state-mandated exams. Other responsibilities throughout the year as assigned.
