TeenActiv is a website used by teachers and schools around South Africa. Edgemead High School (EHS) is located in the small suburb of Edgemead, about 20 minutes outside of Cape Town CBD. It is home to over 1220 students of diverse backgrounds spread across Grades 8 to 12. The school takes its motto, 'Vitam Abundantius Habere' seriously and aims to provide all students with the opportunity to live life more abundantly, no matter their circumstances or background. I was an ESL teacher to children between the ages of 5 and 13. I was responsible for lesson planning and constructing detailed weekly reports on each of my Kindergarten students. I also helped to create a new curriculum for one of my classes which was centered around speaking and debating.
