I am an "out of the box" thinker and problem solver. I meet my professional challenges head on with hope, faith, strength, and perseverance. I have overcome significant personal obstacles which continue to shape who I am and my vision for the future. My passion is to bring education and work opportunities to those who otherwise would have none. My objective is to create sustainable change for previously incarcerated people and the communities mired in the cycle of crime and violence. I moved to Guatemala alone when I was 18 years old to start this work. I have lived in Guatemala City for the past 19 years and have built work rehabilitation businesses outside of prisons. Serigrafía de la Gringa brings education, therapy, trade skills and jobs to post incarcerated people. My work is my heart beating outside my body.
