• Responsible for all aspects of litigation from inception of the lawsuit through trial. • Represents individual and corporate landowners and landlords in tenant disputes and contract negotiation. • Significant experience in multiple areas of civil litigation and trial work, including premises liability, landlord/tenant, products liability, complex tort, wrongful death, trucking/transportation and contract cases throughout California• Represents and counsels individuals, small businesses, municipalities and large corporations in all aspects of litigation, including successful law and motion practice, mediations, arbitrations and trials. • Provides pro-active, strategic counsel to clients of all sizes in areas of risk management with the goal of avoiding litigation and minimizing exposure. • Act as a mentor to a junior associate in all aspects of practice and case management.

Dealt with post acquisition contracts and intellectual property documents from target corporations including Palm, Inc., 3Com and Mercury Interactive. Reviewed Merger Documents for several HP acquisitions and added them to the Mergers and Acquisitions Knowledge Bank.

Supported the finance director of multiple statewide and national political campaigns in all aspects of the fundraising process.

Researched and wrote memoranda on civil litigation, asbestos defense, toxic tort, and landlord-tenant dispute issues. Assisted in the defense of a negligent misrepresentation claim and an unfair competition claim. Drafted memoranda for the California State Bar Litigation Committee’s deposition objection handbook and Co-Authored an Article for The Daily Journal entitled “Building a Defense,” published on August 24, 2009.

Taught a semester-long juvenile law and life skills class to youth who are on probation or at risk of probation. We met once per week culminating in a mock trial.

Collaborated with the Department of Public Safety to draft and pass ordinances which introduced progressive penalties for noise violations and increased fines for owners of unleashed dogs that attacked a person or other animal. Legal research assistant for City Council and in Citizens to Enforce CEQA v. City of Rohnert Park. Authored newspaper articles on the California Environmental Quality Act and its significance to California citizens. Assisted the City Attorney in administering ethics training to city employees.
