Utilizing recruitment and retention techniques, I help prospective and current students navigate the Masters of Science in Operations Management program at the University of Arkansas. Within this Industrial Engineering graduate program, I serve as recruiter, academic advisor, and more. I also coordinate Comprehensive Exams for students, evaluate transfer credit, and complete degree audits for graduating students.

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions, I coordinated, planned, and implemented all aspects of New Student Orientation, including presentations, logistics, guest speakers, overnight accommodations, budget, communications, and training. Additionally, I hired and supervised a staff of three graduate assistants and 55 undergraduate students. I successfully executed many program changes, including the addition of a 1-day orientation model. I used Peoplesoft to maintain event data, including student and guest registration, and reports and rosters used by offices across campus.

Under the direction of the Associate Director and Assistant Dean, I aided in the coordination of New Student Orientation, as well as the hiring and supervising of the 50 undergraduate student orientation mentors. I fielded phone calls and emails to help students and parents with orientation questions.

I was the front desk staff member who answered emails and phone calls for the main admissions phone lines, as well as the orientation and campus visit phone lines. I managed the email accounts for orientation, campus visits, and the Assistant Dean of Admissions. I helped coordinate our campus visit program and completed administrative tasks for orientation such as reporting and data management.

I helped customers with a variety of needs such as deposits, transfers, withdrawals. Additionally, I opened checking, savings, certificate of deposit, and money market accounts, and completed, processed, and closed consumer loans. I met a monthly incentive goal every month and achieved top honors in branch sales contest four quarters consecutively.
