I am an Advanced Technologies Research Engineer and Systems Architect at Collins Aerospace with a technical career focus on mechanical and systems engineering. My ambition is to continuously learn through schooling, life experience, and my career.My experience is in the field of aerospace mechanical engineering for Collins Aerospace, formerly UTC Aerospace Systems. Currently, my responsibilities center on creating concepts, products, and systems that solve the challenges posed by space exploration. Specifically, I have been working to develop the technical solutions and acting as technical point of contact to our customers in the growing commercial space market. I am driven by my desire to solve unique problems, as shown by the 25 patents I have submitted to date. Of these, 7 are awarded and 18 are pending. My career in engineering has allowed me the opportunity to develop hard skills in preliminary design, system modeling, computational fluid dynamics analysis, computer programming, and laboratory test development and execution. With these skills, I have complete tasks such as single and two phase CFD analysis of rotary phase separator technology (ANSYS Fluent), model aided design of a cabin thermal control system (Matlab Simscape, Excel VBA), and performance testing of system components. I primarily work our aerospace life support and thermal control product lines. One specific example includes the opportunity I had to be a part of the team that developed a functional demonstration unit of the next generation space suit, which we presented to Congress and NASA in Washington DC. I also complete soft skill work that require formal and informal communication. I have authored the technical volumes for over $400M of proposals, directly interchange with customers and suppliers, write research papers and analysis memos, and have presented at the International Conference on Environmental Systems.All of the lessons that I have taken thus far, in both my career and life, allow me to be a competitive addition to any working team. Described as hardworking, intelligent, and a fast-learner by my professors and colleagues, I am looking to pursue opportunities that will enrich my life experiences and allow me to contribute to the scientific community.
