Design Engineer

During my limited time at Icreate3D Ltd my main duty was 3D modelling through the use of Autodesk Maya, 3Ds Max, Unreal 3D, Blender and Adobe Suite.Main duties & skills acquired: -Advanced level 3D modelling and visualisation of architectural projects-3D modelling of furniture and other interior assets for property fly-though animations and still CGI images-Assisting in creating the 3D model used in the fly-through animation for the Swansea City re-generation scheme -Designing interior layouts for high end houses in locations such as London, Pembroke and The Gower to serve as a visual representation in the promotion of the sale of the property

My main role at Superspace Ltd was to design and maintain large outdoor digital advertisement screens. As part of the team that began the company, I was involved in a large variety of creative projects during my time with the company. Main duties & skills acquired-Designing structures to house large outdoor digital advertisement screens that would be used across the UK to an audience of over 3 million people per year-Assisting in the start-up of Superspace’s company as part of a team, working closely on brand image and the marketing campaign -Creating detailed 3D CAD models of site locations for still CGI’s and fly-through animations-Communicating with structural engineers, screen suppliers, construction teams and electrical engineers to ensure the quality of the projects was sufficient and that deadlines were met -Research and development of hardware and software to asses efficiency due to complex custom made software -Creating visual presentations alongside a sales team with the aim of acquiring new clients -Designing the company’s flag ship outdoor digital advertisement screen-Manual maintenance of off and on site hardware and software and continuous IT and tech support

During my time at VibeTv my main aim was to improve my creative skill set, focusing mainly on video production and motion graphics through the use of Adobe Creative SuiteMain duties & skills acquired:-Producing still images, videos & motion graphics for commercial advertisement and creating corporate videos from client briefs-Working as part of a larger team and independently on multiple creative projects -Organised and assisted on the shooting and editing of music and corporate videos-Assisting in the design and maintaining of VibeTv website-Assisting in the filming and editing of videos and still images for over 1200 students at Cardiff University’s graduation ceremony

Whilst working at Jual Furnishings I single handedly designed 28 different products, from concept to sale and assisted on the redesign of many other projects which were sold across Europe and on an international scale. Main duties and skills acquired:-Market analysis and design research conducted for multiple specific briefs to conceptualise new products within brief perimeters -Sketching, analysing and adapting multiple initial concepts of the product to fit brief requirements -Present primary concepts to company directors alongside sales teams to begin the process with marketers, engineers and distributers-Produce and analyse 3D CAD models of design ideations to meet time sensitive deadlines -Create high quality CGI’s for pre-production marketing campaigns for companies such as Leekes, Marks & Spencer and Argos-Make adjustments and amendments to the design to facilitate manufacturing capabilities and budget -Conducting tests on sketch models for proof of concept-Drafting 2D CAD drawings for prototype production and liaising with engineers in China-Testing pre-production prototypes to ensure a high standard of quality and to ensure EU safety regulations are met -Signing off on the final design for mass production-Designing and maintaining a high standard of content for marketing of products, e.g. catalog layouts, promotional material, graphical design, web images, leaflets and other creative projects-Re-designing existing products and locating different production facilities to reduce wastage of material and to reduce negative environmental impact during manufacturing and shipping-Creating accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for commercial display floor plans, international furniture shows and trade fairs-Created an archive of product specifications for design, testing and marketing purposes for the company to ensure efficiency within future projects.
