I love words.From the time I can remember, I've found them magical. As time has gone on, my relationship with them has grown and changed as I have--from listening to a read-aloud cassettes, eagerly turning the page with each chime, to getting lost in the pages of a life that I could only dream to live, to pouring myself into lines, forms and prose.While my most beloved form of writing is poetry, I am passionate towards all forms of the written word. Over the years, I have written for magazines, higher education, and a collection of nonprofits, along with the occasional collaborative creative effort for fun. Nonprofits have been a theme in my career and, though they are not my focus exclusively, they prove to illustrate my passion in using words. There is something so fulfilling in using my ability to impact, encourage and uplift others, while aiding those that strive to be a change in this world for good, both in the public and private sectors. Aside from writing, illustrating, editing and the like, I am a wife, mother of three wonderful humans, and a friend. I feel that my passion for this life of mine not only impacts and strengthens the wielding of words, but causes them (and me) to be better for it.
