The Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading (SCGLR) is a four-county effort in Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota counties in Floridato help children from birth through 3rd grade, especially those from asset-limited families, succeed in life by ensuring they read on grade level.

• Conceived of, and founded Links2Success. Created its image, brand, and identity in an effort to provide educational resources and experiences to at risk youth in DeSoto County to assist in the increase of the graduation rate. • Responsible for the compilation and submission of the 501c3 application and incorporation articles for the State of Florida. • Developed strategic vision while overseeing the creation and implementation of the marketing, public relations, and development plans• Responsible for writing and soliciting for grants for the program.• Built and maintaining strong alliances and collaborative partnerships with numerous city, state, and federal officials and agencies, civic leaders, organizations, and stakeholders.• Responsible for developing programs, soliciting funds and recruiting board members. • Responsible for building the organization into valuable service provider. • Manage and plan the annual budget including fundraising events. • Responsible for preparing federal, state and private grant proposals.• Cultivated supportive contacts with local news media.• Acts as the principal public and media spokesperson and promoter.
