About Ashley Sewall

Hi there! I'm Ashley, a Senior Director of User Research and Content Design with a background in Human Factors Psychology. My focus is on deeply understanding user needs and behaviors to enhance product experiences. I specialize in initiating and scaling UX disciplines (e.g., research and writing) across organizations as they grow in UX maturity. With a Ph.D. in Human Factors Psychology and a Masters in Applied Psychology, I bring extensive expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods to the table. I focus on defining success measures for research and writing efforts and driving UX metrics into the organization to facilitate better decision-making and project prioritization.I have experience leading multiple teams, each with different goals and priorities, emphasizing a people-first management approach that empowers teams to work independently while providing clear direction and priorities.Additionally, I've recently had the opportunity to expand my responsibilities to include Content Design (UX Writing + Technical Writing) alongside UX Research. Drawing on my background in growing new UX functions, I'm now applying this expertise to UX writing. Furthermore, I lead the technical writing team, leveraging research and user feedback to continuously enhance product documentation.Let's connect and discuss how we can expand research and writing functions to drive meaningful improvements in user experiences together!
