Rollercoaster. The ups, downs, twists, and turns that I have experienced throughout my lifetime has allowed for an extremely wide range and variety of skill sets that I am truly proud of. I'm known as the "Jack of All Trades" in my family. Some people are amazed that I know how to do different things. I was raised to be extremely independent and taught to "try to do it yourself before you ask for help" and "watch and learn," so that I could do it myself the next time. So, here are some of my life experiences, skills, and capabilities.-At around 5 years old, I began learning how to service, maintain, and operate the dump truck, dozer, backhoe, trackhoe, and tractor with attachments for my Dad's business. It was a family affair and I loved it. I would much rather turn wrenches and be outside than play with dolls. My PawPaw taught me how to work on small engines, go-karts, lawn mowers, etc.., then larger engines. Full tear down, everything.-At 10 years old, my parents bought Jack's Cafe. The business quickly grew, as did my responsibilities. This is where my love for people and the ability to communicate and relate to anyone came from. I made contracts with vendors. Made purchase orders and checked stock when received. I had to hire and fire staff. I learned not to mix business and friendship. I managed multiple bank and vendor accounts. I also cooked, cleaned, answered phones, waited tables, ran the register, and made deliveries. Created schedules and managed payroll. I opened and closed every day. I was 23 when we closed in October of 2010-In 2006, I obtained several certifications through OSHA with the Louisiana State Apprenticeship Fund that includes: Asbestos Removal, Microbial Remediation, HazMat 1 and 2, Basic Construction, Basic Concrete, Crane Operations, First Aid and CPR, with over 100 OSHA hours-From 2007 until 2015, I worked for Footprints Flooring as needed. They were a private business and a subcontractor for Lowe's. I communicated between 13 stores, corporate offices, work crews, clients, and vendors. Arranged estimates, scheduled jobs, created material invoices, work orders, and purchase orders with Quickbooks. Maintained the showroom and organized the warehouse, teaching myself how to operate a forklift and loading and unloading materials from vendors and crew trucks.-I worked for O'Reilly's between 2017-2018 becoming an ASE Certified Retail Services and Parts Specialist. I loved it! Car parts and people! Perfect for me! But I was needed at home. Then mine and my moms cancer scares. *But I Am Prepared and Ready Now!
