My partner and I started The Secret Garden Apiary to try and do our bit for our local environment and to help the local honeybee population around us. It has always been a dream of ours to keep bees and after years of research, courses and practice at our local beekeepers association we finally decided that the time was right to take the plunge and we haven't looked back since. Located on our (approx) 200 acre family farm in Devon we are lucky to already have an abundance of wildflowers in our woodlands, fields and hedgerows but we wanted to do more, so we have reinstated areas of wildflower meadow around the farm to give our girls and their wild friends a boost. We sell delicious and nutritious raw wildflower honey on our website as well as local farm shops, grocers and garden shops. We are also able to carry out beekeeping experiences in the summer and educational talks/demonstrations all year round. Every sale that we make helps us to grow the apiary and plant more wildflowers to help the bees so we really appreciate all of the support we get!

Eversfield Organic, founded in 2004, began as a local organic grocery service and has since expanded to offer nationwide deliveries. In addition to its online presence, Eversfield Organic operates a number of farm shops, organic inns and cafés as well as running the butcher and fishmongers in Selfridges Food Hall, London.

My position as BMW i sales specialist saw me responsible for all sales and promotional activity for the BMW i3, BMW i8 and the BMW i brand in general for the Westerly group - Barnstaple, Bridgwater, Dorchester, Yeovil and Exeter.I coordinated with our 4 other sites to inform and inspire the BMW i sales agents, to get the BMW i brand out and about at various events, and all sales ultimately went through me at the hub in Exeter. I enjoyed the sales element of the position but also enjoyed the freedom to promote the brand across our territory and the challenge to think of new ways to do so. BMW i is an exciting and innovative brand to have worked with and it is leading the way over other manufacturers in the future of automotive.

I spent 10 years running a 3 star AA rated 16th Century Coaching Inn and hotel with my mother which taught me a lot about what it takes to be successful in a highly competitive market. When we acquired the business it had been closed for years and the building was in a sorry state. I helped to build the business up.When you run your own business you soon realise that it is immensely important to be adaptable and flexible in all areas of the business and be ready to take on any task whenever required to ensure the smooth running of a successful business.
