Hi, nice to meet you and thank you for looking at my profile! I am a CPA and senior tax associate with 5 years of experience, specializing in Alternative Investment Funds. I attended Truman State University and earned my Bachelor's Degrees in Accounting and English. I received an excellent education from Truman State, which has one of the top ranked accounting programs in the nation. I continued my education at DePaul University in Chicago, where I earned my Master's in Accounting. Since finishing graduate school, I've worked in public accounting at the same firm for 4 years. I have recently relocated to St. Louis to continue my career with a new firm. While I have experience in different areas of tax (individual, commercial, state & local), I specialize in alternative investment funds and worked on partnerships of various natures, including operating, real estate, private equity, and hedge funds.One of the most important things I've learned in the first few years of my professional career is how crucial it is for me to cultivate relationships with my coworkers. I could not survive busy seasons without the help and support of my peers, so I truly value connections and teamwork between colleagues. I also have been able to connect with managers and directors above me, and the open communication I've had with them and career guidance I have received is invaluable. The lasting connection I've made with my colleagues, both personally and professionally, are a large part of why I enjoy my job.
