Ashley has more than 18 years of hospitality-marketing experience and serves as the SVP/CMO of Newport Beach & Company/Visit Newport Beach. There, she leads the marketing department as the architect of its storytelling, advertising, communications, social media, content, digital, creative, business intelligence and community relations; as well as the company’s five business units: Newport Beach TV, Celebrate Newport Beach, Enterprise Newport Beach, Dine Newport Beach, and Visit Newport Beach, Inc. Newport Beach & Company/Visit Newport Beach is a non-profit organization established to serve as the official marketing agency for the city of Newport Beach.Formerly, she served as the President & CEO of Visit Laguna Beach for six years (and with the organization for 16 years in total) where she led the strategic destination marketing efforts, travel trade and public relations programs regionally, nationally and globally to attract leisure travelers and small meeting groups to Laguna Beach year round. Received a 2020 Poppy Award for Best Overall Brand Identity; 2019 Silver Addy award (American Advertising Awards) in the integrated advertising campaign category – regional/national. Received awards for various social media campaigns; Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Children’s Programming; as well as several other awards including Best Dining Tourism Program in the Country; Best Destination Marketing Campaign in California; Best Social Media Campaign in the Country to Promote a Destination; and one of '30 Emerging Leaders Under 30’ by the California Travel Association. Received a CDME (Certified Destination Management Executive) designation from Destinations International. Graduate from The University of Arizona with a major in Journalism and a minor in Business.
