Assisted with generating qualitative data for Radical Partners LLC (a non-profit research company) that explored the professional development needs of public school music teachers in Miami-Dade County for the development and dissemination of the Miami Music Access Ecosystem Map survey. Responsibilities included transcribing audio recordings into full narrative transcriptions that were codified into relative themes/phrases for analytical purposes, as well as obtaining ethical approval from participants and preserving participant confidentiality. Moreover, this position aided my own qualitative research study for my thesis on Children’s Creative Processes in Music Composition through the Orff-Schulwerk Approach (Espinal, 2020).
