Ashley Rachel Villa, Esq. leads RARE GLOBAL with a unique combination of expertise and experience. As both a manager and attorney, she built her career at a defining moment of industry change—when content creators and YouTube stars grew into powerful brands that would transform the entertainment and digital media landscape.Through a singular vision for a women-focused and women-run management company, Ashley brings competitive brand strategy and leading management experience to RARE’s diverse and in-demand client roster, including some of YouTube’s most successful creators. She is also a consultant to select brands and entertainment entities within the digital media space.In 2022, Ashley launched a skincare makeup hybrid beauty line called Sireni with client Chloe Morello.Before founding RARE in 2015, Ashley was legal counsel at StyleHaul, the pioneering YouTube multi-channel network. There, she worked to standardize and set precedent for protocol and agreements in digital media, fashion, and beauty.Prior, Ashley gained experience as an attorney in film and entertainment: first at Lionsgate Entertainment Corp. under the Office of the General Counsel, then at Sierra/Affinity LLC, where she specialized in international film and television licensing and distribution, feature film production, film finance, and television development. While in law school, Ashley interned in the business and legal affairs department at Fox Sports and was an extern for the Honorable Judge Margaret M. Morrow of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.Ashley received her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Loyola Marymount University in 2011. She is also a proud Bruin, having attended undergrad at UCLA, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Global Studies.She is currently a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. She is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association (Entertainment Section and Intellectual Property Section), Independent Film & Television Alliance and the Non-Scripted Attorney Association.A California girl for life, she resides in Los Angeles with her maltipoo Mochi.
