I am a Norman girl through and through! I was born and raised there which made my choice to go to Oklahoma University a given. I was passionate about staying in the community I grew up in to serve not only that area but the metro beyond. Little did I know that I would find my way into tax law and accounting. Today, I lead a national team of business development professionals in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nevada. My team is responsible for generating revenue for the firm and building relationships within the community. I am incredibly passionate about what I do and believe this role was made for me. Anyone who knows me knows I genuinely love coming to work every single day. During my time at Polston Tax I learned that the true purpose in my career is to lift others to their full potential, Inside and outside of the firm. Outside of my firm I have served as the Accounting & Finance Women’s Alliance OKC Chapter President Elect and National Foundation Board Member. Supporting women in finance is crucial to the industry. I have found joy in creating an environment where professional women in finance can gain confidence in their abilities in the workforce. I also serve on CREW’s (Women in commercial Real estate) board. While serving on this board, I get to help highlight the women and emerging leaders of the commercial real estate industry. This is an industry close to my heart, as in my spare time, I work on flipping multifamily units here in Oklahoma City for the Airbnb market. I am dedicated to investing in Oklahoma City through as many avenues as I am able to. Giving back to Oklahoma has been an immense pleasure which I have been able to do by serving on numerous nonprofits boards here locally. I was honored to serve as the silent auction Co-chair for the YWCA Oklahoma City Purple sash Gala. YWCA OKC answered 4,710 domestic violence and sexual assault crisis calls and I was fortunate to lend a hand to help them fundraise to continue those efforts. I served on the Big Brother Big Sister of Oklahoma, movie night fundraiser located in Norman where I was able to support Oklahoma’s youth in the city that I grew up in. Lastly, I have volunteered as an ambassador for the Greater Oklahoma City chamber. In this role I supported the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce work in facilitating connection between members to create a better sense of community for business to occur in the Greater Oklahoma City Market. Outside of volunteering, I love living life with my perfect Golden Retriever, Walter. He is another shining factor in my life outside of work!
