Developed and executed a business plan and go-to-market strategy for an innovative and disruptive IoT data sharing solution for Intelligent Mobility (Future Transport) sector. Led business strategy, market engagement, launch, business development and product management. Successful market entry and growing revenues enabled the business to be spun out from Interdigital as an independent company - Chordant Inc, which I co-founded.

Led multiple business transformation programmes for an international FTSE100 Oil&Gas organisation, applying an Internet-of-Things solution to industrial operations to create muti-million $ operational cost savings. Led teams to define new operational organisation & processes and business-driven technology requirements across multiple operational areas. Led implementation programmes to deploy multiple IoT systems that capture and visualise real-time data from sensors at multiple complex industrial engineering facilities, enabling shared situational awareness and significant improvements in operational efficiency and decision making by remote engineering experts. Developed and delivered training on holistic Business Transformation methodologies.

Built up and led the technical organisation responsible for productising, commercialising and delivering Renesas Mobile smartphone chipset & software reference platforms into customer products. Established and directed a large international team (60 staff in 7 countries across Asia, Europe and US) in the development and delivery of 4G/3G/2G smartphone reference designs, demonstration systems, hardware and software deliverable packages and in-depth operational support to a global tier #1 customer base. Defined and operated global business processes for customer engagement, onboarding, operations and support, enabling multiple consumer product launches.

Led the creation of innovative touchscreen web tablets, from design through to commercial mass production.

Established and managed new R&D office in the UK for Japanese parent company. Led the creation of GSM/WCDMA Cellular Baseband chipset platforms from design through to commercial mass production.

Leadership of Systems Engineering and Product Validation activities for GSM/WCDMA mobile phones, including launch of first 3G phone for Hutchison3G in UK and Hong-Kong.

Provision of telecommunications and information systems consultancy. Activities included management of business process and workflow improvement projects, the creation of a Prince2 complaint risk assessment model and technical due-diligence reviews of technology suppliers.

Design, development and test of real time embedded software for Intelligent Node call switching and voice call processing platforms in both C and low-level assembler languages. Assigned as lead software engineer for the design, code and test of all device driver software for a new Multi-CPU platform based on proprietary hardware.
