Oversee instructional labs in the Schmid College of Science and Technology. This includes biology, chemistry, physics and food science. Working with a great team of technicians and student workers to make sure students have the best experience possible in lab.

I am in charge of organizing and preparing experiments for the biology/food science departments labs for freshman to graduate level classes.

Dr. Guiyun Yan's Lab in Public Health Department.Monitor mosquito colonies and managed 5 lines of mosquitoes and increased output of colonies.Supported Principle Investigator and 3 Post docs in operational improvements and resolutions to problems.Ordered supplies off grants upwards of $10 million dollars for post-docs, staff scientists and graduate students.Trained student workers in various lab techniques and safety.

Dr. Jennifer Martiny's lab in Ecology and Evolution Department. Worked on a long-term project studying seawater cyanophage diversity.Trained in lab safety, lab maintenance, sterile techniques, and research analysis.Awarded a UROP grant for an undergraduate research project. Presented my project to the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR), the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Delaware ESPCoR and the University of Delaware's Center for Critical Zone Research (May 2009).Supported 3 graduate students and 2 post-docs. Working closely to complete projects in a timely manner.Prior to Dr. Martiny's lab, I worked in Dr. Katharine Suding's lab with graduate student Dr. Irina Irvine on Pink Pigmented Facultative Methylotrophic (PPFM) bacteria in soil and their relationship with herbicide and invasive plant species.
