I am honored to be a part of the Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) Board of Directors. In their words, and why I decided to join the board: "CAP helps people put their lives back together by securing housing, finding essential medical care, and dealing with the countless issues that make the difference between giving up or getting up and going on. With HIV and AIDS, the huge emotional and financial burden to all affected by it can be staggering. Imagine what it must be like for someone who suddenly finds they are without the essentials we so often take for granted. Sadly, some people with HIV lose their jobs, their housing, their friends and family, and all means of support. Shelter, life skills training, and emotional support — these are what CAP provides."

Consulting services, including: strategic public relations planning, social media implementation, search engine optimization, website/HTML management, media relations, email marketing, copywriting, CRM management, etc.

Coaching and one-on-one social media and marketing training; copywriting for newsletters, press releases, blog posts, and more; social media management; connecting with members of our community through networking events; and assisting where needed as our company grows.

Managing daily operations, client relationships, sales, and product development for the Family Offices Group (FOG), Private Equity Investment Group (PEIG), and Hedge Fund Group (HFG) networking associations.

Tasks involved: • Supported Film Action Oregon’s Executive Director in planning the annual benefit held in February. • Updated and created pages for the company website using Dreamweaver.• Assisted in the acquisition of in-kind donations equaling ~$11,000 including correspondence with sponsors, and managed items donated before and after the fundraiser.As the Event Coordinator Intern, I was responsible for the preparation for the annual fundraiser, Oscar Night America. I managed the donation of items and services, and helped with maintaining cash and in-kind donations as well as some of the food donations.After the event had taken place, I kept track of donations, raffle items, follow-up correspondence, and report filings to the Academy. I still volunteer from time to time with other events taking place at FAO and value the creativity they make available to youth, and the culture they bring to the community.

Working directly with the Marketing Director, I helped with presentation creations, website updates, including both copy and HTML changes, competitive analysis, primary research with customers, and cataloged collected data.

Office assistance.

Revised an existing marketing plan for a local company, The Painted Plate. Visited the store and conducted a customer survey to evaluate current company practices and used research results to suggest new marketing practices to improve customer traffic.
