About Ashley Yang
Currently a junior at UIUC pursuing a bachelor's degree in Clinical/Community Psychology with minors in Adult Development and Gender and Women's Studies. I’ve always been passionate about community service, which has shown me the power of human connection and the importance of understanding people in my communities on a personal level. This passion drives my goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LCSW), with a clinical focus on providing psychotherapy.Currently, I'm training as a Harm Reduction Peer at the Counseling Center at UIUC, advocating for and educating peers on safer substance use and harm reduction strategies. I also serve as the Public Relations Chair for the Undergraduate Psychology Association on campus, managing outreach, maintaining our public image, and leading a committee of three.I’m excited to gain more knowledge of multicultural mental health care and am always eager to connect with others who share similar interests.
