CurrentOutpatient Pharmacy, April 2018–January 2019 & May 2021–Present• Provide the best patient experience by working with patients and using hospital resources to meet their specific needs. This includes the Meds to Beds program, where meds are filled and brought up to the patients’ rooms prior to discharge. • Process prescriptions, which includes data entry, filling, and filing. This workflow involves consulting with the pharmacist if anything about the prescription dosing or directions seem out of the ordinary and taking steps to contact prescribers to remedy any issues. • Check in the Rx and OTC order in the morning, put all items away, and send the OTC order at the end of the day, as well as assisting with inventory management, including expiring medications and cycle counts.• Forms books of old prescriptions and file them appropriately when needed, and do monthly filing of invoices and reports. Inpatient Pharmacy, January 2019–July 2019• Restock medications with low levels to Pyxis MedStations throughout the hospital, including pulling narcotics and narcotic waste and returns.• Work the bench, including pulling medications from the carousels for new orders and cart fill, hourly rounds, missing medications, putting away the order, and answering the phone. • Deliver daily medications during cart exchange and returned unused meds to the pharmacy.
