In this role I had the pleasure of assisting credit union members in analyzing their financial burdens and helping them to avoid future delinquency. On a daily basis, this position required solving complex issues while simultane- ously interacting in a positive way with difficult or upset customers. The role required exceptional communication skills in a variety of mediums (phone, email, and physical letters), including the ability to speak and write concisely and clearly. Additionally, the role also required the ability to meet deadlines, the ability to manage a large volume of credit union members accounts (manage time effectively), and the willingness to constantly adapt and collaborate in an ever-changing environment.A variety of duties included:-Update applications and interview past due members.-Skip trace members.-Contact members by telephone, letter, or in person for payment arrangements and make necessary recommendations in regards to potential loan modifications.-Review delinquency reports and CPI insurance.-Identify and analyze risk of delinquent accounts to reduce loss.-Review and recommend loss mitigation options for members experiencing hardship.-Verify account research and error corrections.-Council members with financial problems.-Evaluate and recommend accounts for repossession.- Consumer Credit Counseling Service accounts and prepare accounts for charge off.-Evaluates the recommendation for an account in regards to potential legal remedies.-Answer basic questions in regards to bankruptcy, deceased, home help and repossession.
