I am currently employed at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware, and I work there when I return home for the summer. I started work there in the summer after I graduated high school. During the summer, I work most days of the week, especially Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. As dining servers at the club, we are responsible for the service of food and beverage to the guest members. We greet guests promptly with a smile, assist with guests’ needs, and satisfy guest demands. This job has taught me so much already that has helped me obtain skills of the ability to communicate well with individuals of all ages, leadership, and to work hard.

At the Hotel Dupont, as a banquet server, we are responsible for the service of food and beverage to the guests at various banquets and events. At the hotel, we must execute guest orders and requests in an attentive and timely fashion. To meet the hotel’s standards, we are responsible for ensuring that daily assignments, cleanliness, and side tasks are completed in their respective areas. Ultimately, we satisfy guest demands. We also set up and break down numerous stations, communicate with team members and management, and establish reliable service and excellent guest interactions.

As a camp counselor at Tatnall Summer Camp, we organized and supervised camping activities. We led and guided a variety of outdoor activities, including camping, swimming, and sports, etc. We would ensure camper safety at the summer camp by supervising their actions and following safety and emergency procedures and guidelines. We gained several skills like leadership, communication, and adaptability. As counselors, we instructed campers in everyday activities and cleaning tasks, interacted with campers one-on-one, and even undertook administrative duties.
