At Georgetown, I launched the startup career fair, interned at an incubator, and developed an algorithm for betting on basketball games.My entrepreneurial journey took an unexpected turn when a severe ankle injury forced me to take medical leave. Facing the possibility of severely limited mobility, I committed to an intense recovery and found purpose in entrepreneurial projects. I imported headphones from China and made a model for valuing concert tickets, but the project with legs was a company for 1-on-1 SAT Tutoring: SoFlo Tutors.At SoFlo, we brought modern design to a mom-and-pop industry and used the internet to make high-quality one-on-one tutoring more affordable. Our vision resonated, and we privately tutored 2,000 students annually while donating over $100,000 in services to non-profits.The road to starting my company was not easy, but it has been worth every obstacle. SoFlo brought me close friendships and great personal growth. After four years of hard work, I sold the company.The sale of SoFlo provided me with a small fund, Ocean View. I focus on innovative startups and real estate projects that align with my passion for improving housing, education, and waste management – areas where traditional systems often fall short.In a few years, I intend to launch another venture. Now, I'm crisscrossing America in an RV, connecting with local entrepreneurs and studying diverse approaches to housing, education, and sustainability. This journey is shaping my perspective for future ventures.
