Responsible for my classroom, including children, parents, and assistant teacher. Maintain my classroom in compliance with the State of Tennessee and STARS regulations. Keep the classroom in an organized and well maintained manner. Stay in constant communication with caregivers through monthly newsletters, parent/teacher conference, phone calls, texts and at drop-off and pick-up. Files and documents on each child were kept confidential and filed accordingly. Children who received IEPs, I stayed in contact with the evaluator and made the classroom appropriate for that child's need as well. Observations and milestones were kept on a monthly basis and shared with the caregivers at meetings and with the future teacher so they will that information when the child advances. Track inventory and order supplies as needed.
