Hello! My name is Ashlyn Hendrix and I am passionate about early childhood education. I am looking for new opportunities that will help me serve students and the community as an educator. My search includes experiences that will help me grow as a professional, as a teacher, and as an evolving person. I will graduate from Colorado State University in Early Childhood Education with a minor in American Sign Language in May 2022. I am interested in the integration of ASL in general education and I believe my ASL knowledge and experience would be valuable in the classroom. I am a flexible, patient, and dedicated individual whose goal is to make learning fun and enjoyable for students. My teaching philosophy revolves around being an advocate for students in an inclusive and positive learning environment. I love working with children because they teach me something new everyday and I want to foster a community of kind-hearted people. I am currently a student teacher at Cache La Poudre Elementary; they are an IB World school that values growth in all aspects of development. I am gaining a multitude of knowledge and experience that I will take with me into my career as an official first year teacher. I am excited about my future in education and for all the wonderful experiences that are to come!
