The team at Alaska Community Action on Toxics valued our collective efforts in amplifying voices for environmental health and justice. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Environment and Society, we focused on policy influence and civic engagement, targeting underrepresented communities to foster a grassroots movement. Our strategy involved researching and targeting precincts, which translated into impactful civic programs and stronger community bonds. With a solid educational background and hands-on experience, we deftly coordinated events and meetings that propelled public awareness of environmental issues. The skills honed at The Mobilization Center, particularly in event planning and mobilization, were pivotal in enhancing our organization's mission for progressive environmental action. Our collaborative approach underscored the importance of diversity and unity in driving societal change.
