Newly graduated computer scientist concentrating in cybersecurity for my master's degree. My passion for technology brought me to the Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University, where I am working on my Master's in Cyber Security and Operations. While attending MSU, I have completed fundamental courses covering concepts of memory distribution, data structures, assembly code, basics and fundamentals of operating systems, website development, protocol layers along with socket programming, data forensics, and programming languages, as well as foundational cybersecurity courses.The most valuable lesson I have learned from MSU has been the importance of creating an outline of your program before beginning a project. Although I knew I wanted to be a computer scientist, I have enjoyed learning different ways and concepts in developing programs. My course in Data Structures has provided me with the foundational knowledge to use basic data structures in my programs. Additionally, I have learned the importance of encrypting and securing personal information from outside threats through experience and the multiple cybersecurity courses I have taken.Last year, I utilized and developed my skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, algorithms, data management, and C. I continue to build skills in AI, security protocols, and cybersecurity as a whole. This year, I hope to gain knowledge in cryptography and obtain my Sec+ certification.
