• Developed a reproducible bioinformatics pipeline to identify unique nucleotide markers across all species and biovars of the Brucellosis bacteria• Pre-processed large sets of genomic data for quality assurance purposes. • Generated a phylogenetic tree of all genomic samples to visualize pre-established clusters in the data.• Identified all nucleotide subsets and their distribution among all genomic samples. • Established unique regions of interest for each species and biovar of the Brucellosis bacteria that could be used to identify unknown samples in downstream tests such as real-time PCR.

• Assisted a graduate student in the development of an algorithm to classify audiogram data provided by Clearwater Clinical Ltd. • Collected epidemiological data for common hearing related diseases.• Wrote a script to classify audiogram data using a pre-existing classification algorithm, the Python script included web based automation (Selenium) to collect the data and template comparison to parse the results. • Determined the best method of estimating missing intra-octave frequency data by applying methods such as linear interpolation and the k-nearest neighbour’s algorithm to the audiogram dataset.

• Part of a $70 million project to implement a new patient centred information database and software system (EPIC) to St. Joseph’s Hospitals. • Planned and participated in the Technical Dress Rehearsal, which tested all hospital devices, to ensure they were properly configured to run EPIC. This required strong organizational skills, significant attention to detail and advanced technical literacy• Provided technical support for clinical staff once EPIC went live, this required proficiency navigating, operating and troubleshooting the software as well as emotional intelligence when assisting frustrated staff members.
