In this role, I prototyped and architected the NFB's Films App for Mobile, Tablet, and Connected TV. The NFB Films App complements the NFB website, and is the flagship audience-facing app providing access to 6,000 public films provided in English and French.As the Mobile lead, I led product delivery across multiple platforms (Apple, Android, Roku, Amazon) with an architecture that provides value and stability through significant code reuse, a clear separation of concerns, and automation of tooling and tests.On a weekly basis I oversee day-to-day deliverables, and lead the team Sprint planning. On a monthly basis I act as the Product Owner in strategic planning and the longer term vision. My role includes managing junior developers and coordinating with other teams to meet the needs of the roadmap.My main expertise is leading product development, evaluating technology to define the offering, and to ultimately deliver effective, extensible solutions.

As the subject matter expert on Mobile technology, I developed the curriculum, requisitioned hardware, and wrote courses for mobile programming. I taught advanced topics such as cryptography, peer-to-peer networking, second-screen, and multi-media applications.The courses were focused on native iOS, Android, and React Native applications.

In 2009, I developed CBC's first iPhone apps for CBC Radio and CBC Hockey Night in Canada, with over 100,000 downloads in the first month.In 2010, I joined CBC Music to work on Canada's largest Music offering, with a custom CMS and deep user interaction tools. I built the CBC Music Responsive website, including native and hybrid apps.
