Developed a prototype of relevance engine for GetThere (Corporate Business Tool - Sabre) which would enhance the user experience by producing recommendations based on user’s interest. For this, we worked on a big data analytics tool called Hadoop on cloudera’s platform. Worked on various high level scripting languages like Hive, Pig. Functional languages like scala and others like shell scripting and oozie workflow.

In alignment to the swachh Bharat Mission, We worked extensively on analyzing the reasons for bad sanitation facilities in the villages. Interacted with different set of people,understood and documented the main reasons for open defecation and how the mindsets of people affect the change.

Design of Traffic Signal using Induction Loop Concept - studied different phase designs without movements conflicting and came up with design for automation of traffic signal with a 4-phase system focusing on the time schedules of steel plant using induction loop concept. Using this, green signal time distribution of a cycle is adjusted proportionately to the no.of vehicles waiting in the corresponding lane improving time efficiency.

Played an active role in organizing Blood Donation camps during various fests at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. Also put up camps in the nearby villages and conducted workshops and activities for the Government school children. Conducted talks for the villagers explaining the importance of education.
