“Money doesn’t grow on trees!” my father used to tell me growing up. “If you wanted something you’ll have to work hard to get.” This concept was drilled in to my head at an early age. While I dreamt of pink convertibles, bags full of new clothes, and luxurious vacations I knew that someday I would have to get a job to afford such things or marry a rich man. As heartbroken as I was, I was determined to make it happen one day, somehow. I started my freshman year of high school playing basketball. When I didn’t score a single basket the entire year, I knew I needed a new “get rich scheme.” I focused on what I was good at. I had such a great imagination. I would take recyclables and turn them into sculptures or fortes. I would take objects from our kitchen and develop advertisements to sell the product. I learned how to paint, how to draw and jumped at every chance I could to learn new techniques and mediums. Through my studies and years of work experience I have developed a niche for design and a love for brand identity and marketing. On a daily basis I have the opportunity to create and build my company’s brand while developing creative product solutions for meeting planners nationwide. Best part, I get to connect and help so many people. Design. Create. Interact with people, yes! I’d like to think I made it rich.
