* Administration of server located at remote sites. * Installing / Upgrading netbackup software on clients / Media server / Master server. * Decommissioning of Media servers from NBU domain. * Creating backup policy for different clients like Windows, Unix, Linux. Solaris etc & adding the clients to vaulting as per user request (Offsite storage & onsite). * Scheduling of backup jobs( INCR & FULL backup) / restores as per user requests. * Bouncing NBU on domains in order to resolve different issues or for scheduled reboots. * Troubleshooting drives/library related issues & coordinating with vendors. * Monitoring Backups, Restores & Imports on daily basis. * Creating failure reports on daily basis. * Troubleshooting the failed backup jobs on daily basis or escalating the same to concerned team by creating tickets/through mails. * Checking server status on daily basis (i.e. space, scratch status, drive status, etc) * Working in coordination with different teams for smooth functioning of the environment

>Design, Implement & Troubleshoot issues of various backup applications like Symantec Netbackup, Symantec Backup Exec, Commvault, and HP Data Protector.>Implemented Backup infrastructure in the first cloud environment in Singapore.>Migration of Data from HP EVA to HP 3PAR, EMC to HP 3PAR using MPX router.>Completed projects successfully in industries like Government organization, Tourism, Telecom, >Educational Institutions, Hospitals, Chemical, Auditing, Electronics and Electricity.Nature of job:Application: Symantec Netbackup, Backup Exec, Commvault & HPDP. Create Backup Design as per requirements. Installation & Upgradation of Master / Media / Client on UNIX & Windows servers. Configuration of SAN Media Server & SAN Client(Netbackup) Configuration of Disk Storage & Tape libraries Configure Database (SQL Server, Oracle etc.), SharePoint, VM and File System backup. Troubleshoot issues or backup failures during the implementation of design. Configuration of Backup policies as per customer requirements. Performance tuning of backup environment. Perform Backup & Recovery test as per UAT (User Acceptance Test) guidelines and best practices. Prepare documentation for Design / Configuration / UAT.Storage: HP EVA, HP 3PAR (7200/7400) Creating alias, zones on the switch. Addition of Hosts on the storage. Creation of Volumes in the storage. Presentation of LUN to the hosts. Data Migration from EVA to 3PAR using MPX router.
