He joined Customs & Central Excise department through first batch of Staff Selection Commission in 1979 and retired as Senior Superintendent in January, 2012. He has worked in the department in various fields viz investigation, valuation, refund, rebate, assessment, adjudication and appeals. He has firsthand experience of liaison with departmental officers. With more than 30 years of service in government service in Customs and Central Excise, he has extensive experience of the trade and inside knowledge of the department.
