M.Tech in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering.I was working on Modelling of De-oxidation phenomena during liquid steel treatment. Using thermodynamic tools I developed model to predict the de-oxidation products and dissolved solute amounts. It was followed by validation of the model with available literature data and experimental data. The software has been copyrighted. Also understanding on evolution of inclusions in high silicon steel was developed by conducting a high temperature experimental campaign.

That was the glorious period of my professional career...!!!I was there as Scientist B/Assistant Director. My responsibilities were visiting various production industries like pump,motor, LPG cylinder, Mineral Water, etc...and certify the products as per IS standards, reviewing old/new Indian Standards.I suggested a modification for the Definition of Nano-technology in a standard which was under wide circulation for comments/suggestions... But I left in 5 months before knowing the acceptance of my suggestion.

R & D in Steel tubes. Handled a project titled "single pass cylinder bore for saving energy and time in production". Controlling the process parameters to produce defect free cylinder bore in single pass drawing process was the main aim of the project. During my stay there I was also given a project on understanding the fundamental aspects of magnetic behaviour in electrical steel.OOOOpppppppssssssss stayed for only 2 months....!!!

Process Control in Ladle Refining Furnace. Main task for me at LRF is to produce clean steel. Control of inclusion,deoxidation,reoxidation,alloying,slag making,desulfurization are the major aspects of LRF. I have also take care of vacuum degassing for critical grades. I was in the position to take decision for all quality and process oriented problems.cordinating with EOF and CCM is an another biggest task for LRF melters.To improve my understanding on fundamental as well as industry steelmaking practice, I took an industrial problem "clogging and castability of medium carbon re-sulphur steels" and studied.
